For those of you in the Northeast U.S. who are interested in supporting the local wine and cheese industries, the Pennsylvania-based Berks County Wine Trail is hosting an Artisan Wine and Cheese Pairing fundraiser on October 13th and 14th.
Ticket-holders will be able to sample, at each winery’s tasting room, a broad spectrum of the award-winning wines that hallmark Berks County’s wine community; plus, experience first hand, locally made cheese -- crafted by area cheesemakers.
Each Berks County winery will be featuring, hand-selected, local Pennsylvania cheese to pair with their wines. What a grand way to celebrate both the cultural artistry and farming tradition of our state through the perpetual allure found in the enjoyment of a glass of wine with a piece of cheese. Winery patrons will also be treated to glorious autumn scenery as they drive through Berks County’s countryside making their way from winery to winery.
Tickets for the event will be available for purchase, in advance, at any of thel participating Berks County Wine Trail wineries for $10.
On the weekend of the event, tickets will be available for $12 at each winery.
Proceeds from the event will enable the Berks County Wine Trail to support operational costs including printing of brochures/maps and publicity efforts designed to continue building awareness of the burgeoning wine industry in Berks County.
